About Me

Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)

Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the highest voluntary credential a massage therapist can obtain within the profession—it is above and beyond entry level state licensure. By becoming Board Certified, I represent a community of therapists who have gone above standard educational and work experience requirements with a dedicated and lifelong commit to continuing education. Furthermore, I live up to higher standards and ethics in alignment with The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

To achieve my Board Certification, I provided proof of a minimum of 750 hours of education, 250 hours of professional, hands-on work experience, passed a criminal background check, agreed to uphold NCBTMB's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, and passed the Board Certification Exam. By passing the BCETMB and meeting all requirements, I demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills, as well as a commitment to excellence. I wear the credentials BCTMB with pride for myself, my profession, and, most importantly, my clients.

“It is a great pleasure of mine to facilitate, optimal evolution of one’s mind, body and spirit through the art of massage as well as meditation and holistic education.”

This above and beyond personalized service is not for everyone. If you are looking for your basic cheap massage that anyone can get from the community spa, this service is not for you. If you are looking to only have a massage once a year, this service is not for you, but if you are looking to invest in your overall well being and excel in body, mind and spirit goals, then this service is definitely for you! To understand my service, you will have to experience it with an open mind and once you’ve had your first session I guarantee you’ll never settle for the community spa again.

I am a very passionate and dedicated massage artist who, in my free time is always continuing my educating with what’s new in the massage world. I aspire to open my own business one day with the same goals in mind that I currently practice with. I believe clients should always have the option to stay home for their treatments or be able to come into a place that feels like home. I believe client/artist relations should be built on trust and  professionalism, and always reach toward an ultimate goal.

I only work by referral and without social media. It is important to me that my service is advertised through word of mouth and real life personal interactions. This website is the only domain for online booking with my services (with the exception of my affiliation with the LISA and Hubbub app).

I also love and look forward to working with companies and organizations that like to give back. If there is a non for profit event that I could lend my services for, please write me and let me know!

A note to my existing clients:

Thank you! You have all been so loyal and wonderful to me from the beginning. Thank you for challenging me to grow as an artist. It gives me great pleasure to witness the multitude of advancements in all of your lives because of it. Let us continue ascending and building our own paths through one session at a time, one inhale at a time and one exhale at a time.

Thank you,

-HW
